People residing in those places have been contented with no electricity. The way they live is very simple compared to people living in places where there is electricity.

In response, solar energy has been the best solution for people residing in places without electricity. Solar energy or renewable electricity can offer lots of possibilities to people who want to improve the way they live, hence the growth of solar panel companies world wide. Green Deal softens Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) disappointment

Written by mattgwhitey. Filed under Company News. No comments.

It has been a week of mixed news at Coastal Solar.  On the one hand the government has pushed back the RHI scheme to autumn 2012, meaning it will not yet be possible for Solar Thermal on domestic intallations, this is disappointing news.

However, at a company level we have now received full accreditation through the MCS scheme to fit and link to the Solar PV tariff, this will also cover us for and Solar thermal incentives when they are put in place.

Further good news softens the RHI disappointment, with the introduction of the ‘Green Deal’, which could open up opportunities for many domestic homes to install solar energy systems.

The deal will see the government supplying loans to purchase and install renewables and link them to the feed in tariffs.

The energy provided by the technology will be used to pay back the loan.  The solar energy will increase the efficiency of potentially thousands of homes. It sounds like a great idea, which will serve both the environment and the homeowner alike, who will have reduced utility bills.

Currently Solar PV is the only solar energy that has a FiT scheme in place, therefore if you are looking to increase the efficient of your home and decrease bills that is the obvious option.

Lastly, on a personal note Coastal Solar sponsor Worthing Water Polo team and would like to wish them good luck on their trip to a tournament in Jersey this weekend!

Solar Panel Installations Increase Popularity over Last 12 Months

Written by mattgwhitey. Filed under uk-solar-news. No comments.

According to the figures released by the DECC, solar panel installations in the United Kingdom increased by more than three times during the last 12 months.

The government already expected that this will happen because of the benefits that can be provided by UK Solar Panel Tariffs. The Government’s Feed-in Tariff (FITs) scheme was really a big hit for the people in the U.K. According to reports, almost 11,314 people, most of them are homeowners, already installed solar panels in their homes on the first three months of this year. With the impressive rewards provided by FITs, the rush for solar energy is said to continue until the next few years or more.

The recent figures that are released on the reports are considered as a good sign for the solar energy industry since a lot of people are slowly realizing the benefits that can be provided by solar energy.

So why is that a lot of homeowners decided to switch with solar power?

Basically, the reason is because of the Government’s FITs scheme introduced. It is said that they provide guarantee to the homeowners who chose to install solar panels payments on the energy that they will generate over the next 25 years. It is a big hit to the homeowners because the payments that will be given can be an addition to the savings that you can get when you use solar energy. It is also beneficial compared with buying the energy from an external company.
